So sorry to hear the news of Gareth’s passing. Great memories of chats on the sideline when Colm and Eöin were playing with Malahide United. Great banter when the six nations was on especially when it involved Ireland and Wales. My most recent meeting he spoke of his latest hobby”grow your own” in his allotment which he told me he really enjoyed. May he rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to all of Gareth's lovely family. I first met Gareth many years ago for an interview in the Bear Hotel to join him in Saudi. A life changing journey followed into the world of the Colonel, Iskan 2 many new life long friends and Saudi Arabia. Gareth remains an inspiration to me. His humour, (infectious laugh) caring nature and superb talent for people is something I can only aspire to. Sadly the last time I was with Gareth was also at the Bear Hotel last September. He was fit well and brimming full of ideas and of course the humour as always.

An inspiring, kind, good man who helped me enormously when I was a young manager. I am so sorry for all of the family but try and take comfort from the huge difference he made in many people's lives.

Rest well Mr. Gareth. Until we meet again.
