Our sincere sympathies to your self Thérèse and your family on the death of your dear husband. George will be remembered by all who knew him. We will keep you Thérèse and family in our prayers.
Hi George - sorry to hear of this - condolences to you and your family
Deepest sympathy, Therese, from all the Timoneys. Although we will miss George so much, wonderful happy memories of his thoughtfulness, kindness, and quiet sense of humour, as well as feelings of gratitude for his valued friendship over the years, will always remain with us. (Our grandchildren, like so many other children, were fascinated and enthralled by George's magic tricks). The Mass yesterday was beautiful, prayerful and wonderfully inspiring - so full of love, warmth, faith, and hope - enveloping the deep sadness. Georgina's words were wonderful as was the beautiful singing by Zoe (or was it Siena?). May the good Lord bless and comfort you, Therese and your wonderful family, Sean, Georgina, Bronwyn, Carolyn, Zoe and Siena! Go dtugfai Dia solas siorai d'anam uasal Sheoirse!
To Therese and family. On behalf of the McGowan family or deepest sympathy on the passing of George. May he rest in peace
Dearest Therese and your beautiful family, I send all of my love and hugs at this very sad time. The Mass today was heartbreakingly beautiful and I thank you for letting us share these moments with you. I can't help but want to be a better me after todays experience, which seemed to be one of George's special gifts, bewitching people with positivity. He got me, even today. Bronnie and I have been sharing special stories about our dads for over a decade now, and will keep enjoying these moments. I also adore my parents and so, for many years I've enjoyed watching the incredible thought, love and care go into planning the annual holiday the girls would take you both on. I am one of the many who will be loving and hugging your girls closely in London/Brighton. But it's about time they finally get me to Dublin! All my love, Maddy xoxo

I was just so dreadfully sorry and shocked to learn of George’s sudden passing .
I enjoyed his wonderful company on many occasions and I look back on all our meetings with great fondness. He was a man of huge talent across multiple spheres ,a peerless performer, and was second to none in the art of magic and ventriloquism .
George was a lovely man with a warm ,sunny ,kindly, and genial disposition ,a great and interesting conversationalist , and one of life’s nice people. One always felt the better for having met him.

A word or two for you, Therese, Sean, George, Carolyn and Bronwyn at this time of grievous loss of your beloved George….most particularly to you his soul-mate, Therese.
But first a word to George as his spirit looks down on us. What a pleasure, George, that Claire and I should have the wonderful opportunity of being such close neighbours in Rosslare. We have had unforgettable summers of togetherness with you and your wonderful family. I have benefited so much from the regular chats that we had in the magic relaxation of Kelly’s Field and with a vain focus on solving some of the world’s problems…..you were always so wise in your counsel. But never did I benefit from and enjoy as much as our chats in recent weeks….observing your stoic acceptance of your lengthy stay in Vincent’s….the interminable tests….and ultimately the spirit of resilience that you brought to your diagnosis and the path ahead….little did anyone think that your stay on this world, which you enriched so much, would be cut so cruelly short. I know that you will watch over us all in your own inimitable good-humoured manner…..but particularly watch over and care for your beloved Therese.
And so, back to family…..you, Therese and all of the family have bucket loads of sympathy, warmth and love from Claire and I….we will be totally with you in spirit tomorrow, in the coming days/weeks/months…..and way beyond.

Sincere condolences to Therese and family on George's passing. George's family were customers in our shop and he was our brush with stardom from his TV programme. He was always so kind and generous with his time, as was his late sister Patricia.
Although I haven't seen George since Patricia died I think of him and his brothers and sister often as I pass their home every day.
George was one of nature's gentlemen and I share your loss. His kindness to a young lad is still remembered 60 years later.
