Sincere condolences to all the family at this infinitely sad time. Fond memories of George when he and Paddy managed Ballinteer Rovers back in the day. Never a dull moment when George was around. Salt of the earth and a great sense of humour. George did have a serious side though, which he reminded you of, if you were two nil down at half-time. Thanks for your time George. Rest In Peace,

Barry condolence to you and your family on the death of your dad may he rest in peace
Deepest sympathy to George's family. George was a popular member of the Goatstown allotments, as many messages of sadness at his passing on our WhatsApp group testify. Though I only met George a handful of times, he left a lasting impression with his friendly face and always being ready to chat and give helpful advice. I felt I had met one of those truly nice people. I also believe we have lost one of our top growers... I think it's safe to say his neat potato drills attracted many the admiring stare. He will be fondly remembered by his fellow gardeners here.
