Our heartfelt condolences Kathryn, Laura, Kim, Jayne, Andy, Paddy, Liz, Caroline, Catherine, Mags, Gillian & the extended Fitzgerald family on Ger's very sad passing. The Monday Club was Ger's inspiration and he was so very proud when on 30th of January 2023 the first Monday Club began & it has gone from strength to strength since. Ger looked after everyone, made sure that they were able to get to the club, he knew when to check in on people. Ger was thoughful, kind and so very much the backbone of the Monday Club. Even though Ger never took any credit for its success he always said "it's a team effort". As Ger wanted the Monday Club will drive on and we will always remember Ger fondly and miss him terribly. The Monday Club will never be the same but when we take "a breath" Ger we will think of you as you will always hold a special place in our hearts. Codladh éasca a chara daor.

A LOVELY GENTLEMAN

I remember Ger from my teenage days—I knew and looked up to him as Caroline and Padraig’s older brother. He was already a bit of a legend to us younger teens in Riverside Park. Sorry for your loss. I looked up to him as a 13 year old when Midleton made the breakthrough in 1983 and was honored to be involved with Ger on the line for many years with Junior and Senior teams. I will miss our personal meet ups and many many phone calls catching up and will miss the great advice or confirmation of thoughts you gave me. Always one to think of others and you did this right to the end , calling me to ask about the beautiful Darragh Mac and his Family only a short few days before you passed . Until we meet again Fitz- we had great times never to be forgotten . You are at Peace now so sleep easy my friend- Ter
