We are so sorry for your loss and are still coming to terms with it ourselves. For more than 50 years meeting up with Gegs and Joe in Ireland or in Greece has been the highlight of the summer for us. Gegs was always interesting, fun and hospitable - it's hard to think she's no longer with us. Our thoughts go out to all the family whom she loved so much and was loved by.

Geggs and I belonged to a small group of golfers that had to play our golf at the weekend in Woodenbridge because we both worked fulltime. We played many games together. She also was my brilliant caddy the year we got to the Leinster finals of the Challenge Cup. Geggs was not afraid to let me know when she thought I'd made a muck of a hole. All ahe needed to say to me was "Course Management Suzanne" and I knew I was suitably chastised. I will miss her greatly.

I watched the service today and was so touched by how strong a personality Gegs was and how wonderful her children are, she would have been so proud of them. So many memories of her, from Glendalough and from St Andrews, taken far too soon. Love to Joe and her beautiful children.

So sorry to have missed the service today. Gegs was a complete original. She welcomed me to Alex and was a massive part of my years there. She was the personification of a real team player - supportive, creative and a voice of reason in the heat of the moment. She will be sorely missed by her many friends and family. I always marvelled at her enthusiasm and energy, cycling home after a committee meeting having played a round of golf earlier after work.
