It was with great sadness that i learnt of Gers passing. Know him since primary school and can honestly say that he always had a smile and a comment when i met him. Great character, will be missed. My sympathies to his family and many friends

It was with immeasurable sadness that i learned late last night of Gerrys passing.
I used to meet Gerry in the Oncology ward Limerick when i was there. He wasn't there yesterday 😥. We used to have a great laugh together. On our last meeting before Christmas Gerry called me back to shake hands and he wished me the best. I know now why he did this. To all his family and relatives i offer my deepest sympathy and condolences. He was and is a great man. I never got to get him the plain burger with nothing but onions in it, but thats for another time. God Speed Gerry, until we meet again Friend.

We were so sorry to hear about the sad loss of Ger. Although we never managed to meet, David and I felt that we knew you all well through Jean and Gavin. Ger was obviously much loved with a big heart and will be hugely missed. Gavin and I were able to join the church service on line today and were with you in spirit. Peace be with you.

ger to me was a loving husband, a kind and understanding father and a joyful energetic grandad, my time spent with him was always easy and enjoyable, we flowed really well like the river shannon and we rarely ever had a moment of silence,
our times away with geraldine and jean were always great and created wonderful memories i`ll never forget,
i always thought we`d meet up again sometime but sadly time and tide waits for no man,
