So sorry to see this , knew Gerry from his Barleyfield transport days back in the 90’s when he used to fill his trucks up with diesel in McCrystals Belurgan where our Dad Jimmy worked , there was always a great story and plenty of craic from Gerry who you would look forward to seeing coming in to fill up for Diesel. Would often bump into Gerry since then where he would still have great time for a chat and always ask about our Dad , sadly Dad (Jimmy) passed away just over 2 weeks ago so I’d like to think the two of them are up there having the same craic they used to have all those years ago . Although we only got to know you all during Gerard and dad's hospital stay it seemed that we had known you all for years through our shared interest in football ⚽️and trucks 🚛.
Dad still talks about the late night chats they had in the ward and the nurse's telling them to put out the lights and got to sleep!!!
