It was great sadness that the staff of the Redeemer Girls School learned of the passing of Gerry. I was very saddened by the news of Gerry's passing. My sincere condolences go to Teresa, Gerry's wife, and his adoring daughter Ava, and to his parents Sandra and Brendan, his sister Francine, and his brother Gerry.
Gerry's sad passing comes after a very long illness of twelve years. I know he received the very best of care during this time.
Gerry truly was a lovely person and a pleasure to work with. I will always keep my fond memories of him. I feel blessed to have known Gerry. He had a great sense of humour and a wonderful smile, and there was always a mischievous sparkle in his eyes.
This is a difficult time for all of you. It brings some comfort to think of him now being reunited with his brother Benny, who sadly predeceased him. I imagine they are both having a great catch up and good laughs now.
