So very sad to learn of Irene’s passing. If I had known in time I would have attended her funeral. Irene and Arthur were long time friends. I was a part time helper in Irene’s Swop Shop, Stock Exchange, in Baggot Street, way back in the 1970’s Fellow Artists we kept in touch over the years. I remember when Irene swam at Sandycove over a period of many years. Sometimes I would meet her after her swim, when we would share a picnic. Always such great company; so much laughter and fun to be around.
We exchanged our hand painted Christmas cards for decades. I have kept them all.
Dearest Irene may you and Arthur happily Rest in Peace together.
Jenny with Love. 💕
Irene was a loving, caring and full of fun person, always there for me in good times and bad. I will miss her. May she rest in peace. x
I was sorry to hear of Irene’s death.

She and Arthur were longtime members of Kenilworth Bowling Club and contributed greatly to the Club over the years. As well as being a formidable player, she was an accomplished artist with her painting of the Clubhouse reproduced on the cover of our membership book until recently.

Our deepest sympathy to her family.
Irene was a beautiful woman in every way. I have very fond memories of her with my Uncle Arthur and how she would always be so interested in what I was doing and how my family was growing up. Her sense of humour and love of life kept her going and she never gave in when life was tough. Irene will be greatly missed by everyone. With loving and fond memories. Kathy and David xxxx
