My deepest sympathies to you Niamh,Oonagh and Ronan on the passing of your dear father,I was saddened to hear the news on Monday of his passing.I spent two memorable years in Achonry N S under his helm.He strived to bring the best out in his pupils and did with great success.He was very fair and treated all his pupils equally.It was Mr Murtaghs dedication,patience and hard work not only at schoolwork, but he also brought great success to Achonry NS when guiding his pupils to winning an All Ireland Drama Award at Slogadh in Tralee in the early eighties and numerous County titles in Scor Na Nog competitions.Thinking of you all at this sad time.Rest in Peace Master Murtagh.May the road rise to meet you.
