Jane Craig Elliott

i was a former student in St Dominics college Cabra in the 90s I had the pleasure of been guided and educated by jane in English. Fantastic teacher so much so that even after all these years i remember her so fondly .
She was beautiful and always dressed like a Hollywood leading lady may she rest in peace and her legacy live on

We were so sad to hear of the passing of Jane! Our deepest sympathies to you Simon, Katie & Jack. We had the privilege of knowing Jane as a kind, warm hearted teacher of our two sons during their time in St Pats. I also had the privilege in my role as pastor in the local Baptist Church of visiting her classes and interacting with her students. I really enjoyed those visits & always found Jane to be so interested and pleasant and convinced of the importance of faith. Words fail to describe how much Jane will be missed! You will be in our thoughts & prayers. May God grant you the deep comfort you need at this time & in the days to come.

To be in her presence at ASTI events, to experience her integrity and quiet vivacity, was both a privilege and a pleasure.

So sorry to hear of Jane's passing. She was a truly brilliant teacher in every sense of the word; provoking thought, letting her pupils think out loud particularly around morality and beliefs and basically preparing us for adulthood. She left an indellible print on those of us lucky to have been her pupils. May she rest in peace.

Jane and I taught in neighbouring schools in Cabra and knew each other for almost thirty years through our involvement in the Asti where Jane served on national committees, Education Committee, Pensions Committee, Sickness benefit Committee and at the time of her death, Standing Committee. Jane wore her intelligence and ability lightly while making excellent contributions. But it is for her exceptional ability to make every person she met, student, parent and colleague, feel that they mattered that I will remember her. Her humanity and kindness brightened our days. Dearest Simon, Katie and Jack, I am so so very sorry for your loss. I just cannot believe it. She was so bright and vibrant and full of life that she will leave an enormous void. I remember her so well over the years since the early eighties when she and Annmarie met in college. It was a pleasure to have known her and thinking of you all at this sad and lonely time.
