I have just learned of the very sad news of your Dad's passing!
He had a genuine interest and cared deeply for those who attended the services of Cope foundation!
As a former staff member, to me he was a great mentor to those of us who worked under his guidance and stewardship!
His many good deeds were done very much under the radar and at an individual level, such was his respect for the individual!

He is now at rest with your lovely Mom who was also a beautiful kind lady!

May He Rest In Peace!

He will be sadly missed at the domestic science courses that I ran for men in West Cork. It was nearly all bachelors ,widowers ,divorcees, separated men and prisoners husband's used to attend my domestic science courses all the other lads told their wives that they were going to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

I was deeply saddened to hear, a
few days ago, of Jerry's death. He was a long standing and enthusiastic member of Inclusion Ireland as well as the Chairperson of its first Advocacy sub committee where he championed the rights of people with intellectual disability to be heard and listened to. He
He represented Inclusion Ireland on the Board of inclusion Europe and was responsible for ensuring that people with intellectual disability became full board members of Inclusion Ireland. His good humour,
kind heart and sound advice helped me to deal with difficult problems when they arose and he was always there to offer support. My sincere sympathies to the Buttimer family

I thought all teachers were God's if something went wrong I blamed them When Mr Hickey died in 1986 I spent two days crying my heart out.I blamed the teachers I was very angry with Mr Hickey because he died on us. I was angry with the teachers in the school too. Mr Hickeys death hurt my feelings I was really annoyed with him I'm am sorry for anything I said that hurt you or your colleagues during that time John I am so sorry to hear about your father.
