I rememer he used to visit our house in Killanena back in the 60s .He was a great friend of my late father Frank Cunningham and then theyd go to Cannys pub whic is still there . Played music till all hours. Even though i was only a teenager i thought he was a lovely gentle soul may he rest in peace .May Malone .

He loved the music and we had many great days, going back to the 60s and Cluan Tarbh Comhaltas, the start of Sean Treacy, the house in Fairview, the laughs with Oliver and Rena Traynor, coming to all the sessions in our house, and the flute he made and gave to me. We are so sorry we can't be there to give a goodbye. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh sé.
