I recall having a warm friendly conversation with Jim one morning a few years ago as we were both walking from the park down to SuperValu. I am so sorry for your loss and I am thinking of you all at this sad and difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Never forgotten here in the Fermanagh/ Cavan area. Ive a picture somewhere of Jim playing the pipes as a 16 yr old at Patrick McManus's funeral in Kiladuff Graveyard in Swanlinbar 1956. May he sleep gently alongside Ireland's patriot dead.

Jim was a fearless fighter over the generations against repression and a great patriot. I remember with great affection my journey with Jim and his close colleague, Brendan O’Neill tracing their steps in “ Operation Harvest”(1956-62) through the Sperrin Mountains in Tyrone. They were welcomed everywhere as the heroes they, and other Cork men, were in coming to the aid of the discriminated minority. They did it again in later years! His sacrifice will never be forgotten.
