The news of the passing of Jim Leahy, brought back a basket of happy memories of engagement with him, many years ago, when he, and others sought to sow the seeds of knighthood in our area. While the crop may have failed nonetheless it created a fantastic awareness of the work that Jim and others were about, quietly and discreetly in the service of God and of his fellow man. Their vision and self sacrifice have bestowed a fabulous legacy to the people of Cork in the facility in Wilton, apart from the support and help that was laid on for smaller groups and Individuals at a given point in time. Jim had a fantastic way, about him. He epitomised everything a good Christian should be. All we can hope is, that the example and sacrifice which he gave in his life will be studied and followed, into the future. Rest in peace Jim. You have certainly earned it. Deepest sympathy to his immediate and extended family.
