I was very saddened to hear of Jim's untimely death. We were close neighbours in Croaghta Park from his time from coming there, until life scattered us. Those were our formative years, when our pals mattered more to us than anybody else. We played football two even three times a day, and it was Jim's influence which kept the more exciteable of us boiling into aggression. We often played chess together (he was the best), monopoly, we went to the same school (teachers Nosey, the Mekon, the Boss, and the rest. He brought me to playing Pitch and Putt. We managed to recontact in later years, when I discovered that like me, he had his big family, he played his golf like me, and like me brought his grandchildren to their football games. Your family will always bear dear memories of having had him for you.
