My deepest sympathy to Greg, Glen and all the family. Jim and Pat played such a big part in my misspent youth and I have dozens of friends for which that can be said. About two years after I first started drinking in the Joiners Arms they took it over and contributed to the happiest days of my life, watching us develop from annoying teenagers into annoying adults.
It was a privilege to know the Cooney family and watch the boys grow up into fine and extremely funny, young men.
To play a round of golf with Jim was an absolute joy and a lesson in both sport and patience. Rest in peace Jim x
