Condolences to all the extended Griffin family .
Joan was a lovely, thoughtful, strong, fun loving, kind lady who always had a positive outlook and a smile. I always enjoyed my visits to Joan, our long chats and the craic. She especially loved to reminisce the old times in Tipperary. A favourite phrase of Joan’s was ‘I am going to my pram now’. Well, she has gone to her pram for good now and I will miss her terribly. Rest in Peace Joan.

Our condolences to all the Griffin family. Joan was a wonderful friend to our mother. They met in ‘99 while volunteering in The Irish Cancer charity shop in Camden St. Their little gang of four had great fun working together and enjoyed lovely days out and Sunday lunches in Buswell Hotel. We all remember Joan so fondly, and her great sense of fun. Rest in Peace Joan.

My deepest condolences to John, Kevin, Tony, Noel, Cora & Paul on the passing of your dearly beloved mother, Joan. It is a testament to your mom on how she coped after the sudden death of your father who predeceased her by close on 40 years.
In the late '60s I migrated (back then that's what it felt like) from Limerick to Dublin to start my working life. Uncle Pat & Aunty Joan welcomed me into their home where Joan became my 2nd mother & friend. I left a family of 7 daughters & 1 son & joined a family of 6 sons & 1 daughter.. being a bit of a tomboy helped!
My abiding memories of Joan are her laughter, kindness, her love for her family & her homemade brown bread. The light of heaven to you Joan may you now rest in eternal peace.x

We would like to extend our sincere condolences to all of the Griffin family on the death of your dearest mum Joan.
31 years ago we had the privilege of becoming next door neighbours and throughout that time we shared many stories, helped each other out and enjoyed lots of laughter in the lovely company of one another.
Joan was a very kind, thoughtful and generous person who always remembered the girls’ birthdays. A card was always dropped through the door to acknowledge and celebrate various special family occasions.
Right up to the end, we were amazed by Joan’s skill and ability to make contact through her WhatsApp !!! , knowing that she could always depend on a speedy reply. This was a great comfort for Joan and we know she really appreciated that.
Codladh samh Joan.
You will all be in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult and sad time for the Griffin family.
