On behalf of Lucan Sarsfields GAA Club, I wish to offer our heartfelt condolences to Joe’s wife, Margaret, his children Niall, Deirdre, Mark, Áine and Joey, his grandchildren, his brother, his sister, and the wider family on his sad passing.
Joe was a familiar and much‑loved presence in the club, well known for organising our table quizzes and for the enjoyment he found in spending Thursday nights socialising with friends. He served with pride as Club President for a number of years.
Joe was truly one of life’s gentlemen, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
You will be in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.

Sincerest condolences to Aunt Margaret, cousins and extended family on the loss of your husband, dad and grandad. I was devastated to hear of Joe’s passing and how he fought hard until the end. He will be well remembered with fondness for his humour, generosity and those nail-biting lifts to the ferry when I was in college. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
