Mark, Siobhan, Caoimhe, Niamh & myself are so grateful to have had the opportunity to share some special times with Joe on our visit to Ireland last year.

Joe was a a true gentleman, who loved his family and his craft. It was so lovely to hear so many people speak so highly of him. He was obviously a wonderful dad, teacher and man. The kind of man I aspire to be. He gave so much and asked for so little in return. It was an honour and a privilege to have known Joe and so great to share some time with you all over the last few days. I know Joe would be so very proud of you all. May he rest in pease...

Sincere condolences to the Downey Family on your very sad loss. For many, many years Joe was a very active, supportive member of our Golf Society. He did a stint as Treasurer and served as President in 1994-1995.
