I am so sorry to learn of John's passing. I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to John's family. I have great memories of John's kindness, his wit and humour during my time in Kinsale. May he rest peacefully with his beloved Monica.

Sincere condolences to the Barrett Family. I first met John when we were both 10 years old culling cattle for our respective fathers at Bandon Mart. Not an easy task for one 10 yr,old, but we teamed up and the work took half the time.
We revelled as the half-crowns flowed faster.

A friendship was born that stood the test of time.

He used to also buy heifers from my Dad years before that and my father also spoke very highly of John. A measure of the gentleman that he was.
