Condolences to the Smith family at this sad time thinking of yous all
So sorry to hear this sad news. Bossa you were a great neighbor and friend. Thoughts are with you all.
Sincere condolences to the Smith family on Bossa’s sad passing.
To all the family,
My heart is broken for you all on hearing the passing of Uncle Bossa on Wednesday. He was truly one in a million, a light that lit up the room, a soul who touched many, a soft person at heart, and a also a very jolly one too. Everyone loved him, and I have found memories of Uncle John camping with us all when we were kids. I know you are all broken, but that’s because you had all the love for your mam and dad, and they were very lucky to have such a wonderful children and family around them. Although I wasn’t able to make the service or funeral this morning, I watched the service online and I just want to say, how Bossa would have been so proud of you all today giving him such a lovely send off. He will be forever in our hearts and is with your mam now. Sending you all my love and prayers. It is a heavy day today :( Sam xx

Before he became a legend in Cabra, he was a Legend in the North Inner City. John Smith or Bossa Fay, as he was called and known as, was universally regarded as a brilliant and brave Goalkeeper on the concrete of the Gloucester Diamond seven-a-side pitch. He played there every summer with a local side mainly from Corporation Place, Liberty House etc. and had a loyal following of Inner City people. Apart from his football ventures he was someone with a great personality and a very kind nature.
My condolences on behalf of the Belvedere Newsboys and Football Clubs to his sons John and Jason and the to the other family and friends of Bossa. May he REST in PEACE.
