Deeply saddened to hear of John's passing. I knew him in Bankcentre and he was an absolute gentleman, always very friendly and pleasant. My deepest sympathies to his wife and family.
John was a gentleman in the best sense of the word.
I worked with John on the Men's Committee in Grange Golf Club for over 3 years and he had a wicked sense of humour. When giving an update as the Hon Treasurer on the Men's accounts, he said "We don't have a leg to stand on". He will be sorely missed.

Sincere condolences to the Burns family on the death of John RIP. I knew him in Grange GC through both our involvements on committee. Always a friendly, helpful and welcoming gentleman on the course and in the clubhouse. He faced the challenges of his illness with courage and his positivity was an inspiration. His presence in Grange will be missed. Condolences to Deborah, Cian and Eimhin
Dear Deborah, Cian and Eimhín. We were shocked with the news of John's passing. As a member of Grange golf club in Rathfarnham he was always there to share a joke, play a game of golf, contribute to the club through committees and teams, and show us all what a positive attitude to getting on with life really is all about. It was great to spend time with him back on the fairways again this year, and working hard to get his handicap down! His infectious enthusiasm and positivity will be missed by one and all - as will his brilliant sense of humour. We'll miss you John...
Deborah, Cian & Eimhin, we are so sad to hear about John sudden passing. John was one of the good guys, a family man who loved you all dearly. He loved nothing more than organising your family holidays to exotic places, you all have great memories to cherish forever, (we travelled to a few far flung places because of John stories & endless photos). He was full of humour, head of knowledge and we loved our chats & catch ups over Chinese dinner. We will keep this tradition going in his memory. RIP dear John.
My condolences to Deborah, Cian & Eimhin and all Johns family. You are those who knew him best and all the qualities that made John. I was lucky to enjoy John’s company at Grange GC where he will be missed.

Dear Deborah, so very sorry to hear of John passing away - shocked to be honest. He had great patience when training me in co-facilitating staff development programmes in AIB as we traversed the country in places like the Wine Port lodge in Glasson & Aghadoe Heights. It was tough, but someone had to do it! Very fond memories & happy knowing John would have enjoyed seeing Shels win the title this year. My condolences to all the family, may John Rest In Peace.
