I was deeply saddened to hear about John’s passing.

We shared many adventures with John the length and breadth of the country and abroad, from our 1st camp in Fota Island —a trip that was famously damp and more than a little accident-prone. John taught us how to keep our heads up when the rain started falling, and I will always be grateful for the time we spent Scouting together.
