Deepest sympathy to Johns family.He was a wonderful teacher and a great hurling man who kept the flag flying in the school. A greeting from John was always by Master followed by your surname.May he RIP.And John thanks for everything and being so patient with us all in the CBS.

I wish to convey my condolences to Johns family. John was my mechanical drawing teacher in Roscommon CBS....a very kind and patient teacher. More importantly to us as pupils he was a great hurling man and I have fond memories of trips away on the bus playing matches for his teams. He kept the hurling flag flying successfully in Roscommon CBS for many years and gave up a lot of his free time to train teams which was very much appreciated.

I was saddened to hear of John's passing. John taught me Mechanical Drawing in CBS Roscommon, 1985 to 88.
He introduced us to Plans & Elevations, and gave us a sense of draughtmanship.
John as well as 2 other CBS teachers of the 80's, Pat Rogers and John Clogher have passed in recent weeks.
