I was fortunate enough to have John for 6th Class in Cloone
& then 5 years with Enda in St Mel's. I'm sure, like for many others,
John was the first to instill in me a love of running that I kept up
into my early 30's, & Athletics in general. He was a great man,
a hugely positive influence on me at that time.
