I had the privilege of teaching John during his time in St. Mary’s, where he was a pupil from a very early age, beginning in the Special Care Unit atAthlumney before joining our school community. He graduated with us in 2017–2018, leaving behind fond memories that continue to bring smiles to those who knew him.

John was a wonderful character — always so stylish in his lovely clothes, a real “cool dude” with an indomitable spirit and a warm presence that brightened every room. His passing has come as a great shock to all of us who knew him and cared for him.

We send our heartfelt sympathy to you, his parents, his siblings, and also to his friends and housemates John will be deeply missed by everyone at St. Mary’s.
