We were so very sorry to hear of John’s passing and have many wonderful memories of him through Rotary Dublin Viking. A wonderful, inspirational character and a true gentleman. Rest in peace.
Sincere sympathy to John's family. As a former member of the Rotary Club of Dublin Viking I had occasion over many years of working with John on many charitable projects. A thorough gentleman agus ni bheidh a leaithad aris ann.
My very sincere sympathies to all John's family My husband, David and I loved a visit to him and Mary when visiting in Shankill and always got a great welcome . We would look forward at Christmas time to reading news of his recent or planned adventures. A very good friend. May you rest in peace John
I was so sorry to hear that Johnno had died, and want to pass on my deepest sympathies to Susanna, Edward, Elizabeth and Peter.
He was an exceptional and lovely man; after nursing Mary with true devotion and love, he began a life of adventure, and I always enjoyed keeping up with his long-distance travels through his social media. His was a life richly lived, and his spirit will live on in his children and dearly-loved grandchildren.

It was with great sadness and a sense of loss that I learned of the death of Johno. He was a great friend of our family for many years. He was a pleasant man and extremely kind, helpful and adventurous. He loved his family and dedicated many years to the care and attention of his darling wife Mary. This showed his great empathy and his genuine love and understanding of life. We had many happy memories of visits of Mary and John and their families to our family home and also when our family visited in Dublin. We want to extend our sympathies to Elizabeth, Peter, Edward, Susanna and families.
"Good night sweet prince. And may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."
