Deepest sympathy to Kay and family. Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers, Stasia.
Very sorry to hear of John’s passing, he was such a lovely gent.
My fondest memory of John was when himself, Kay and Papi Brian would take me out for nice Sunday lunches when I was in boarding school - the best lunch we had though was with Bono on the next table. I’ll also remember Colin and Jesse’s wedding in Buenos Aires when he told my mum and I about the family history. It was a lovely trip! May he rest in peace.
Deeply sorry to hear of John's passing. He will be remembered fondly (as will his laugh!). Thinking of his family and all who loved him at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy on death of John. The last of the ‘Merry boys’. My mother was their first cousin, and a favourite niece of their father Uncle Phil, who never left our house without a half crown for us kids.! A lovely family of which John was a good representative.
My sincere condolences to the Merry family on the passing of John. May he rest in peace.
To dear Kay and all John’s family. My sincerest condolences on the sad passing of John. May he rest in peace.
My sincere condolences to Kay, Alan & Colin
I worked alongside John when he was the Sales Representative for GGSI in the Eastern Region and I was the junior sales team member.

We travelled the roads together visiting pubs and I was always struck by how the publicans respected him and enjoyed his company.

I learned a lot from watching and listening to John's quiet and subtle persuasion.

Very sad to hear about John's passing. He was a huge supporter of Old Belvedere RFC and he was on so many committees over the years. He will be missed but remembered very fondly. He now joins his brothers who also gave so much to OB.

Dear Kay, Alana and Colin
So sorry to hear that John had passed away. My mother, Betty, was so fond of the Merry boys and often talked of her time in Canice's Rd and the friendship that continued throughout their lives.

Thinking of you over these sad days.

I was sad to hear of John's passing and my thoughts are with Kay, Colin and Jess and family. I had the pleasure of meeting John in Buenos Aires and thoroughly enjoyed his company, having a few beers and talking rugby. His career advice was legendary! Wish I had got to Dublin to share a Guinness with you. Vale John - rest in peace.
