The Murphy family were a huge influence on my childhood in every way, friendship, fun and love. It was a welcome n household where John and Ann laid out the red carpet every time I called in or ran through to the back garden. I have many fond memories of growing up with the Murphy Clan. Mr Murphy was a man who had no BS about him, told it as it was and got on with whatever life threw at him. I can see him now sitting in his chair reading the paper and I can hear his loud roaring laughter that exploded when he found something funny. A great man who helped Ann raise an amazing family that will always hold a special place for me. May he rest in peace. ❤️

Sorry to hear of John's passing. John and Ann were regular visitors to Sligo, my late mother always looked forward to seeing them, a lovely couple. Sincere sympathy to Ann and family at this sad time.
