Sincere condolonces to Aidan,Joan,the Daly & Harte families on the death of John (Captain). Just recalling memories of the Captain brings a smile to my face. He was always jolly whenever I met him while home on holidays.

To think that the he has lived all his life in Ballycrenane and I recall often seeing his boat out fishing in the early morning. He knew the sea so well. He was close to nature and what a great brain lay inside his head as I remember him in the old Kilcredan school. A man comfortable in his own skin, may he rest in eternal peace. Amen

Sincere sympathy to Aidan, Joan the Daly and Harte families on the Sudden sailing away of the one and only Captain what a character he always accomplished what ever task he took on ie fishing, firewood ,operating machinery, and was he a good customer of midleton Destillery ,and Eamon ryan will be happy that he's no longer Puffing the cigs. Myself and captain left Dalys one monday morning to go salmon fishing we Put to sea at 2am by 6am we had 74 salmon landed we were hoping to make the hundred but Uncle Paddy shea arrived and we had to move on captain was on his last fag and feeling thirsty.we ended up where we took off from Dalys.Rip Captain.

What a lovely send off today, it was all smooth sailing. It was lovely that your knockadoon fishing comrades helped you on your way & may their catches be full of sledgers!

You hauled your anchor, lit a smoke, started your motor & turned it for home, your hat on tight while you had your dropeen, one of a kind, you done well boyeen!
