Sincere condolences to Dessie, Denise, Marian & Carl. He was a wonderful loving father to you all. He was always so welcoming anytime I called up to see him. I enjoyed having a chat and hearing all the family news. He especially loved telling me about how all the grandkids were getting on. He will be sadly missed. Thinking of you all at this sad time. I pass on my condolences to John’s family. My mother Anne (also known as Nancy) was Maureen’s sister and she always spoke highly of John.

I had the pleasure of meeting John a couple of times when I visited Ireland from Australia - where mum and dad had migrated to in 1955.

John welcomed me warmly and took pride in showing me the Waterford my mum had grown up in. He adored his wife and children, grandchildren and great grand children - that was very evident.
