Johnny and Maureen were our true friends for over sixty years and it has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to have shared so much of our earthly lives with them. On the golfing front Johnny was and probably still is the only Greystones born man to have Captained G G C and it was a great honour to have served on Committee with him. His straight talking his good humour and his innate ability to get to the point shortened many a dreary committee meeting particularly on cold Winters evenings. We are not likely to see your likes again. Rest in well deserved and earned peace old and dear friend.

Rowena, Brian, John and all the family....I am truly heartbroken about the loss of Dear Johnny...I will miss my daily chat with him as he stopped for his paper every morning and his mischievous banter which made me laugh without fail. He will be missed so very much by all of us at Kilcoole lodge...gentlemen like Johnny are rare...he was very special to all of us....sending love to you all ❤️
