I went to Geraldine Daly’s playschool and I have such fond memories of when Karen and Laura came into the school and of when Karen would be up at our house for play dates with my sisters. Karen worked with us in University Hospital Kerry during 2020 and 2021. She was a marvellous colleague, always in good form and willing to go above and beyond in her work life. Conversations at tea break and lunch regularly revolved around her family life- from planning the perfect Christmas gifts to family trips, she had a real eye for detail.
We cannot imagine the heartbreak at her untimely passing. You are all in our thoughts. May Karen rest in peace.
