I have such fond memories of our long chats about Kates travels to Portugal and Lanzarotte, her passion for sea swimming, particularly at Howe Strand and she passed on some beautiful recipes to me. Kate's sudden and untimely passing has shocked and saddened all who know her.
My sincere condolences to John, Seána, Roisín and the extended families where the loss of your beloved Kate will be felt the most.
I have worked with Kate for many years and she was a true friend and much valued colleague who often went beyond the call of duty to help those in difficulties where her humanity always shone through.
Kate was such a great character with a wide range of interests and multitude of pastimes and leaves a legacy that few could match, as is evident by the huge volume of tributes to her, testament to the esteem in which she was held by all.
An absolute lady, it was a privilege to have known her.
