Kathleen was a dear cousin of my father (Dick) and a highlight of our childhood summers in Drimloeague at our Grandfather’s home were trips to the Post Office where Kathleen would delight to give sweets to my siblings and I. A kind and happy woman, fondly remembered.

When in Drimoleague with Mam we'd always call to see Kathleen & we'd have the most delicious array of cakes while Mam caught up with news from home. Then it was a case of "have we time to call to Francie?" Of course we had & we'd have more delicious food there & buckets of tea. It was priceless to listen to the chat eventhough I didn't know who they spoke of. We could just be standing ready to go when Uncle Denny could drop in & more often than not that meant another cuppa & the latest news. I loved listening to them filling Mam with all the goss & she'd know who they spoke of after all the years. She would
sing all the way home to Clonakilty. I hope they are all
together in Heaven & Kathleen with them also. May your gentle soul rest in Eternal Peace.

In the early years both made the teas and up until 2024 Kathleen still made her Chocolate cherry chews. A truly wonderful lady. It was still a pleasure to visit her in Dunmanway . She will be missed by all who knew her .
