I was deeply sorry to learn of Katie's untimely passing. I got to know her well during our time together studying physio in UCD. I remember her as a true lady, full of kindness, with a glint of mischief and humour in her eyes, always! She seemed to make an impression on anyone lucky enough to know her.
In recent days I have been reminded of when she very kindly would collect me and give me a lift every day in her car when we were on placement together, something I remember fondly, as it was coming up to Christmas and we would sing along to Christmas FM on the radio together! She was great company and I truly enjoyed those car journeys together.
I wish her husband, family and loved ones strength to get through this very difficult time. I hope your wonderful memories of Katie help you through the tough days.

I was fortunate to meet Katie through UCDVO and spend 5 weeks in Nicaragua together. I will forever remember her as kind, thoughtful and so much fun to be around. My thoughts are with her husband, parents, brother and friends.
