I’m so sorry i just heard of Leslie’s passing, Les & Nancy were great friends to Kay & I over the years, condolences to all of the family.

I worked in the Galloping Green with Les for a couple of years and have great memories. Les was a true gentleman. He took a true interest in all of us who worked there and all the customers. I used to love how it would take him nearly half an hour to get from the door into behind the bar at the start of his shift, because he would take the time to speak with everyone who was in the bar. He was so genuine and always full of fun.

Truly loved working with Les and so lucky I had the opportunity to do so.

And always looking for a dance partner at any wedding or party! I will always remember Les with fondness and a great smile on his face. Xx

I worked with Les back in the late 90’s in the Galloping Green. Les was an absolute gentleman and I remember fondly the laughs and fun he brought to the place along with Ray, Gerry and Kevin. The warm welcome was always there throughout the years after when going in with my own late parents and old friends. Reunited with Nancy and your son now. Rest in peace Les.

I had the privilege of working with Les for nearly 15 years at the Galloping Green. He taught me how to pull my first pint (with serious patience) and was the brightest ray of sunshine each and every day. He always offered a listening ear, the best advice, and endless giggles.

Les was a true gentleman. The kindest, most caring soul. He will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
