It was with a deep sadness, that I saw Lil's empty bed when I called by on Thursday to visit her in Fatima, as I have done frequently over the past three years. I met her when visiting a friends 97yr old mother. Lil was a breath of fresh air and I always felt better for having been in her cheery presence. I sat and reflected on what a beautiful person she was, her warm smile, her bright cheery face, less so the past year..but what a marvellous well lived long life she lived. I will miss her warm kind words and such a lovely nature she had. Lil, as you said to me so often..Thanks a Thousand. You were one unique lady. Rest in peace, you are certainly in Heaven😇

Never missed a week calling to my Mom in Nursing Home.....what a "true friend".She lived her lovely life to the full..she was "salt of the earth". A framed memento Lil gave to my Mother for her 90th Birthday had this saying 'Never regret growing old,its a pleasure denied to many'. which I will treasure. I have many treasured memories of time spent with Lil, our trips to Stack shop every morning, seeing her sitting at the window waiting for me to pull up. There was also many a day we threw in a bit of painting as well for good measure. These included a lot of tea breaks and a lot of laughter throughout.
She was loved by everybody who knew her, I am more than glad our paths crossed. May you Rest in Peace Lil
