I knew Mairead from Loretto. We shared the same birthday.
She was such a fun loving, kind, thoughtful person.

My memories of Mairead go back to our student days in SVH. She was a bundle of fun and great to be around .Her presence filled a room . She was someone you could never forget.
Our paths did not cross much in the intervening years but I heard about her from others. I was aware of her very successful career especially in ARC. She was an inspiration to all.
She touched so many lives along the way and has left an amazing legacy behind.
Her memory will live on among those who knew and loved her.

She was just so unique - always positive, energetic, funny, sincere and full of devilment - basically a very good fun loving person. No matter what humour you were in when you met Mairead - you left her having felt all the better for meeting up. I will miss our catch ups and feel privileged to have had Mairead as a friend. XX

Hi, I worked briefly with your Mum in 2008 and she was a really pleasant, jolly person.
Mairéad had the ability to light up a room with her presence.
The service this morning was lovely and I particularly like the Steve Jobs quote and that super photograph on the back cover.

I was shocked when Mary called me this afternoon with the sad news of Mairéad's death. My thoughts and prayers are with you Aifric & Phillipa, Kate, Mary, Gráine, Orla, John, Rod, Conor and Noel. You must all have great memories of a beautiful, loving, kind woman, mother and sister. She certainly left her mark on whoever she met and every where she went. People like Mairéad are a blessing and a gift to all of us. May she rest in peace.
