Margaret was not just a teacher to all the pupils named on her roll book but to each and every person she encounterd in life. There was always kind words, encouragement, reassurance and a bit of fun. Kindness was a big one in Margarets life, May that live on with everybody she met and spread it near and far as she would have wanted to. So heartbroken for you all, Take care and shine brightly.

My deepest sympathy to Pádraig, her beloved children Sinéad, Fiona, Ruth, Sarah and Seán, her loyal friends and her devoted sisters on the very sad passing of Margaret. My heart goes out to you all at this difficult time.

Margaret was a powerhouse in everything she did. Deeply devoted to her family, she also gave generously of her time through her teaching and her support of camogie and hurling. Whether helping with costumes for school musicals, mentoring the Christmas Eve choir or guiding students through their Leaving Certificate years, Margaret was always willing to volunteer.

She was also famous for her baking for the camogie cake sale on Easter Sunday, producing wonderful buns and cakes year after year.

As a teacher to my three children, Fiachra, Caoimhe and Aoibhinn, she instilled great confidence in them. They often spoke of her kindness and fairness.

Margaret will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Margaret, It has been my privilege to have been your work colleague, neighbour and friend. Your warm smile, your gentle nature, your encouraging words and your wisdom will forever hold a special place.
I have made great memories over the years with you, sharing of recipes, at birthday parties, road trips to Croke park and of course the girls camogie matches. Many an evening on the way home from a match we would stop at the shop and you would say “When you are out, you are out, will you just get an ice-cream”
