My condolences to the Lynch family on the death of Margaret.Sr.Lynch was an exceptional lady, totally committed to her work,stern but always kind and the welfare of the children ,parents and staff were always her main concern.May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace

As a student nurse & young staff nurse during my time in Crumlin Hospital Ms Lynch was widely referred to as “Bubbles”, we weren’t sure why she had that nickname, it was just passed on from group to group of young inexperienced students. We were in awe of her , she was the boss & we respected her . She kept us on our toes , she ran a tight ship with her no nonsense approach. She simply ensured the work got done & sick children got the attention they warranted.

Coincidentally she was a childhood friend of my mother's, Jennie Downey, Ballyphilip, Lisdowney. My mam had often asked after Margaret Lynch but I never tied the 2 together because she was rarely referred to by her proper name.

She sought me out at Ballyragget Cemetery mass a few years after my mam had passed, we had a little chat as she reminisced of their school days etc

My condolences to her family, I’m sure she was a strong presence in your life’s. RIP

Crumlin hospital ran like clockwork when Sr Lynch was on duty.
It was actually reassuring to see her calm presence appear on the wards, (because we never heard her footsteps!)

She was affectionately known as Bubbles to us nurses, and I do hope she knew how much she meant to us.
And how much we all respected her.

For Sr. Lynch (AKA Bubbles!) she was legendary to every nurse that passed through Crumlin Hospital. Derv & I (the twins) worked in ICU and we all knew her rhythm by heart! We remember her fondly. She leaves behind a powerful legacy as evidenced by the wonderful nurses who learned from her through the years in OLHSC.

Sr Lynch (affectionately known as Bubbles) former night matron in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, supported many a student nurse and junior staff nurse to become competent and experienced senior nurses. Despite having a reputation for strictness, she had the kindest heart and she always prioritised the best interests of the children. May you rest in peace as your life”s work is done.

Sincere condolences to Sr Lynch family did many a night shift in OLHSC with Sr Lynch on duty .She commanded great respect and you sure had to know your stuff when rounding with her.She always had advice on managing patients she certainly made many a good nurse.
Behind the exterior she was very kind remember her fondly for the support given to be as a young Staff nurse when my only brother was killed .After I got married she asked me to bring in the wedding album and she commented on the style ,,,, she made me take on the married name,,, May you rest in peace Sr Lynch (Bubbles ) Thank you
