My deepest sympathies on the loss of Mary Gleeson. She was a wonderful woman and I have many warm memories of visits to Cappamore on my trips to Ireland growing up. Mary always made us feel so welcome. She had a very strong spirit and will be well remembered.

Mrs Gleeson was the best teacher I ever had .I’m glad I wrote to tell her that really on behalf of all the boys she taught at the Boys School in Newport.She wrote back and described all of us from sixth class 1983.She treated us all as equals.
The National Schools were lucky to have her and her brother in their service.
She made an effort with every one of us .
