Sincere condolences to you David and all the family. Ms Sammon as we fondly knew her was a wonderful teacher and I have great memories of singing on the steps in fifth class with her. My mother Mrs Brede Cosgrove taught 1st and 2nd Class In St Brigid’s during the 70’s and we have many photographs of all the teacher groups back in the day. She was my favorite teacher by a country mile. X

I spent two weeks on Teaching Practice in Margarethe’s class many years ago. Her guidance was truly inspirational and she was always supportive and encouraging. She was a kind and gentle person and devoted to the students in her care.

So shocked and saddened to hear of Margarethe's passing. I have very fond memories of her taking me under her wing when I started teaching in St Brigid's. She was a great guide and inspiration to me always. She had a love of crafts which she introduced to us with such passion and patience. She was a unique and special person and more than just a teacher to those of us lucky to have been in her class.
