I remember when Marion came to New York City as a teenager.
She had a great sense of fun, and also a great sense of fashion!
She was bright and bold and confident.
My dad, her “Uncle Paddy” was so very proud of the way she worked and studied to create the life she wanted.
I have missed her for a long time now and will continue to hold happy memories of the times we spent together.

A lovely bright person, always with a smile and a welcome, we have fond memories of being in the company of the Moynaghs at the Fleadhs and festivals over the years, she loved the music and she would always get the tunes going. We have memories too of her hospitality at the Christmastime session in your home, and the sleepovers with the girls. She has left a great legacy in your lovely family. I have such fond memories of visiting your house; how she loved to sit and chat and how she was so interested in other people. She was so giving with her time and I will always remember when she visited Mountmellick with Kylie and played music for my father in the nursing home. Her love for traditional music became a gift to you all, a legacy that will last a lifetime and will be passed down the generations. Her music will never fade. Thinking of you all at this heartbreaking time.

Very sad to hear of Marian’s passing.

I’ll never forget when she managed payroll in Sysnet many years ago and was just about to issue one of my first payslips. While making a cup of tea in the kitchen, she casually mentioned that it looked like I owed Revenue a few thousand euro. I think I was about 21 at the time... I nearly collapsed. Thankfully, she’d mixed me up with someone else. I still wonder to this day who owed Revenue a few thousand euro and I hope they’ve since recovered!

We are so sorry to hear of Marian’s passing. Marian was always such an elegant lady who has passed this onto her wonderful family. You could be guaranteed the Moynagh family would always be the first to have the tunes going at the Fleadh & Willie Clancy campsites outside their camper van over the years & Marian in the centre of it all, always encouraging.
