I’m so sad to hear of the passing of Marian. Such a lovely woman. I have great memories of chats with her over the years. My heart goes out to all of you. Please accept my sincere condolences.

To Gabriel, Lindsay, Kylie, Chanelle, Elvin, Damien and Gabriel, I was so saddened to hear of Marian’s passing. My deepest sympathies to you all.

Marian was a wonderful person and I have such fond memories of her playing music with my Dad at many sessions over the years. He was so fond of Marian and she always had great time for him.
She did us the great honour too of performing with Dad at our wedding.

I’ll always admire how she instilled the love of music in all her children and I’m sure this love of music will continue on through the next generation.

May she rest in peace.

Not to mention her sartorial prowess - I always had a female box-playing fashion icon to look up to!
We'll miss you so much Marian but you'll remain with us always.

Gabe, I dont know where to begin. Both you and Marion are the finest of parents any family could wish for. She leaves behind the finest family one could ever have. Such a talented and grounded family. All great musicians and totally warm and natural people just like their parents.Her legacy will live on in her family and grandchildren. Marian (R.I.P) & Gabriel made one of the loveliest homes in Ireland, set in the Dublin Hills, where they brought up a remarkably successful family.
Marian, supported by Gabriel, reared their young children through the joy of Irish Traditional music, together with our families, in Culturlann na h-Éireann. Those early years, had great evenings of fun & stories. We share happiest memories . May she Rest In Peace.

A beautiful funeral service, just like Marian, she would have been so proud of all the family today. Sorry we couldn’t be there, but it was lovely that we could watch.
Kathleen has very fond memories of Marian, including a time when she brought back nail transfers from America for her, everyone around her in mass the next day made such a fuss about the ladybirds on her fingernails, she thought they were going to be asked to leave!
Marian’s Uncle Seamus always told the story of whilst helping with the decorating, as a toddler, she came running into the room and kissed the freshly painted wall, before he could stop her!
