Mary was so interesting , gracious , Elegant and artistic. On my visits on a Tuesday night what was only meant to be an hour , usually turned out to be 2 hours and more. Time spent with her was so enjoyable and interesting. I know Mary was ready to make her journey .

Our sincere sympathy to Kit ,Michael Mary's extended family and to her friend Betty. We have very fond memories of Mary as our neighbour. She was always so interested and interesting. We laughed as she said I was poaching her garden birds! She had such a novel take on life and death. She fascinated me when I visited her, showing me her knitted rosary with 40 beads, which she used to count her blessings each day. I asked how she found that many things to be grateful for especially since she had moved out of her home.She said Anne you can. I was also fascinated by her acceptance of being ready to leave this world. I know now she is flying high. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

May I start by saying sincere condolences to Mary’s family and friends on her passing.
I’m sad she’s left us, but know how much she was ready go also.
I first met Mary when I worked in Cooke’s cafe in Kilworth.and she used to come in with her friend Betty. I was instantly drawn to her, she’d show me some hats/ scarves she had knitted, other days she would tell me about her travels, she had a voice you could listen to all day.
Covid closed that little cafe, As lock down eased, I would visit Mary at her beautiful home, where on a sunny day we’d sit in her garden, she loved to attract rare birds, she had a particular feed she bought, just for this purpose, that garden was a very special place. Mary would also show me some of her sketches, She’d tell me about the books she had read, I can honestly say she was one of the most interesting people I had the pleasure of meeting and she was a great listener too. My last words to Mary were “I hope you continue to have lots of new adventures “. I’m truly blessed to have known her.
