So saddened to hear of Mary's passing. A lovely genuine lady with a witty sense of humor and a kind heart. She was committed to everything she was involved in. She was very supportive to my mother after my father died and my mother always spoke highly of her, as indeed we all did. James has fond memories of working with Mary in the Kirwan Arms many years ago, where she may have had to 'Mammy' him. Always a pleasure to meet her, she will be sadly missed. Hard to believe I'm writing this but very sad news on the passing of a friend and fellow committee member Mary Carroll

Mary was a great friend over the years, and played a great role in the Delvin St Patrick's Day Festival committee as our secretary.

As Chairman of Delvin St.Patricks Parade, I worked closely over the years with Mary and witnessed her commitment to the parade. Even during Marys short illness, she attended recent meetings late last year.

When Mary took up the role of secretary, she told me if she was doing a job that she would do it right ! And that she did. Her dedication to the parade led to its success over the years.

She was alway one of the first to buy raffle tickets of me anytime I posted some for sale and she was always happy to support a good cause. She was also a great sponsor for local raffles and fundraisers.

l first got to know Mary in my younger days in my short career as an juvenile amateur pitch and putt player through her involvement in Collinstown Pitch & Putt.

We will all miss Mary very much and on behalf of the Delvin Parade Committe, I would like to pass on our condolences to Marys son David, daughter Elma and all of Marys family and friends at this very sad time.
