I'm so very sorry to hear of Mary's passing. I remember her from my class in Sion Hill as always cheerful and energetic. In recent years that good humour and fighting spirit was very evident throughout her health struggles as she continued to partake in our Class of 1970 WhatsApp chat group, and to attend our coffee meet-ups whenever she could. My sympathy especially to her son, Cian.
Fond memories of a great school friend. I am saddened to hear of Mary's death. Sincere sympathy to all her family, especially to Aedin and Declan and to Cian. Mary was an exceptional woman, who played well with the hand she was dealt.

Our Sion Hill class reconnected in recent years, to mark our fortieth, and then fiftieth, anniversaries of leaving school. Mary was involved in some of this, until her illness prevented her attending. Some of the class met as recently as last week, there was such a huge wave of love and care for Mary following this gathering.
