Mrs Merne was our neighbour many years ago. We were a big, wild family and always in the wars. Mrs Merne was always on hand to help with cuts and bruises and worse. My mother held her in the highest regard. She was an exceptional person. She has now moved on to the next plane of existance where she will again be close to her nearest and dearest who have predeceased her. It was a pleasure to know her.
