So sorry to hear about Maureen. She struggled for so long with her health, but we have nothing but fond memories of our visits to Bray. She, the Scallan and O’Sullivan families are in our thoughts and prayers.

Our deepest sympathies to all the family. My mom Margaret was a life long friend of Maureen's after both of them met in London when they were working there many years ago. Throughout many decades they always kept in touch and visited one another when they could. We are very sorry to hear of Maureens passing and have many fond memories of her life and those visits. May she rest in peace.

God Bless you Maureen. I got to know Maureen through an Alpha course about 20 years ago. She was always such an inspiration to me. I don't know anyone who could quote from the Bible at such short notice. She was a member of our Alpha Bible Study Group right up to the end, even joining on line during the Pandemic. When she could not travel we always kept in touch by phone where she always encouraged me. You will be sorely missed Maureen but I know I will think of you often, Bible in hand.

I've just stumbled upon the news of Maureen's death and I am so saddened by it. She was such a gorgeously unique and special lady. We had the most diverse chats about everything under the sun as she was so widely read! She had a deep love of her sons, and grandchildren (even when they rearranged her beloved books and she couldn't find the one she was looking for!), and her beautiful apple trees and plants. I really enjoyed spending time with her, and will miss her greatly.

I have many happy memories of Maureen, particularly when we did the 'Special Ed' Course together. Two competent teachers reduced to jelly at the thoughts of being students again! We got there with many a story to tell and became lifelong friends.Maureen was great company and had a natural wit.

Maureen was a truly exceptional lady, whom I first met on an Alpha Course in 2005. Her smile lit up the room. A person of great faith, hope, and charity, she continued to be a key member of our Bible study group for the next eighteen years - including via Zoom during the pandemic - blessing us with her warmth and wisdom. She told such wonderful stories! Even whilst dealing with significant health challenges, she was always joyful and resilient, full of grace, positivity - and fun. Maureen will be deeply missed.

As a teacher and staff member at St. Laurence College when Maureen's son Finian was a student there, I met Maureen at various events and functions then and subsequently. I enjoyed her company. She was easy to talk to. She had a clear intelligence; she spoke of values that resonated with me and she had a wisdom about life and suffering that was deeply Christian. May she be at peace and granted eternal joy. I will offer a Mass for her eternal repose.
